About our Rocks | Marble

Marble is a metamorphic rock resulting from the metamorphism of limestone. It is extensively used in a wide variety applications, including sculpture, and of course as a building material.

Marble’s appeal is it durability, ability to stand the test of time against the elements, and it’s natural shine and beauty. From ancient Egyptian times through today, marble has been used to build palaces, shrines, places of worship, and important state buildings.

Egyptian marble is readily available and relatively easy to cut into slabs, tiles, or more elaborate custom-cut pieces. Its long-lasting qualities, including its ability to stand up well to exposure make it an ideal building material both inside and outside.
